Dan Surdell | Principal/Chief Executive Officer
Dan’s high energy is surpassed only by his experience. For more than four decades, he’s built relationships with some of the top retail brands in the world, including Kohl’s, Cabela’s, Pamida, Kmart, Saks Fifth Avenue, David’s Bridal and Coles Myer Group. Dan founded Meridian Advertising in 1994. In 2005, he joined Pat Jung to launch Surdell and Partners. Dan’s depth of knowledge of all facets of advertising and marketing has been a driving force behind the success of the agency. A tireless leader, manager and motivator, Dan is driven by his desire to produce world-class strategic and creative work that delivers “beyond expectations” for our clients.
Pat Jung | Principal/Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer
A founding partner of Surdell and Partners, Pat oversees all aspects of the agency’s financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting and long range strategic planning. He makes sure operations run smoothly and that we deliver on our financial goals year in and year out. Prior to becoming Surdell and Partners' Principal and Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, Pat spent 30 years with accounting firm KPMG. During that period, he served as partner for KPMG for 20 years. Pat also serves on the Board of Directors for Werner Enterprises and the Burlington Capital Group.
Bill Nordin | Partner/Chief Creative Officer
Bill blends more than 20 years of marketing and advertising experience to deliver a cross-channel experience on all client initiatives. Bill inspires excellence as he and his team oversee the creative and production for television, radio, web, print, design, collateral and visual merchandising materials. Prior to joining Surdell and Partners in 2009, Bill spent most of his career at Best Buy, where he rose to Group Creative Director. His award-winning brand work for Best Buy featured The Rolling Stones, Usher, Elton John, Moby, the Black Eyed Peas and other entertainment icons. Bill was charged with the creative roll out of the Geek Squad brand nationwide. (more)
He also led the Silence is Golden PSA program, a partnership between Best Buy and AMC Theaters which featured movie trailers reminding audiences to “turn off their cell phones.” While Bill has garnered many industry awards, he’s more focused on results. “Awards are always fun to win, but they don’t always highlight effectiveness,” Bill explains. “That’s why I’m so proud of the Effie Awards earned during my time at Best Buy. An Effie is the perfect balance between creativity and business building results.”

Adam Kanzmeier | Partner/Director of Customer Intelligence & Strategic Consulting
Adam joined Surdell and Partners in 2005 following 13 years at Meridian Advertising in engineering and management roles. As Director of Customer Intelligence & Strategic Consulting, he helps direct Surdell and Partners' technology and business consultation practice and led development of our i3 Retail Information System SM. He’s provided strategic consulting for Kohl’s, Cabela’s, EZCORP, Rite Aid, Pamida and a multitude of other brands. Adam holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and a M.B.A. from the University of Nebraska. During his career he has held a variety of leadership positions in quality (more)
